DIGIMON VENOM NXT← RETURN TO THE DIGITAL WORLD
PLAYER INTELLIGENCE / GAME GUIDE

Tamer field guide.

Your reference for building a team, exploring the world, and finding your next adventure in Digimon Venom NXT.

Know your world. Values labelled as defaults can change with host configuration. Your account, collection, and campaign progress belong to the world hosting them. See Accounts, hosting and saving for save behaviour and host controls.

Explore. Scan. Digivolve. Compete.#

A new MMO Digimon adventure built in Unreal Engine 5, combining a shared MMO world with private story campaigns, partner raising, competitive battles and your own DigiFarm.

Start with a Rookie partner and build a team that feels like yours. Discover wild Digimon, collect their scan data, experiment with evolution routes and take your favourite partners into increasingly demanding battles. Between adventures, meet other tamers, trade for your next team member, work on your farm or chase a championship.

Whether your goal is collecting rare varieties, following the story, building a carefully trained team or climbing the ladder, Digimon Venom NXT gives you several ways to keep progressing.

Your tamer, your first partner#

Create an account or log in from the main menu, then join the public world. World owners have a separate Admin Host & Play option; ordinary players do not need the administrator's hosting password.

Choose a Rookie from the available starter catalogue and preview its stats before committing. The default starting level is 1, so your first partner begins its journey alongside you rather than arriving fully trained.

The Tamer Studio provides 64 appearance choices, with directional previews and free appearance changes. Changing your look does not reset your team or progression. Your first party slot also determines your leader—the Digimon that follows you around the field.

Explore the world, discover your next partner#

Travel between public habitats through Level Select, walk their paths and encounter wild Digimon as you explore. Encounters are triggered by movement, not by repeatedly pressing a battle button. A short safe walking distance after travelling gives you a chance to get your bearings.

The game uses a top-down, sprite-based field presentation with a zoomable camera, visible partner followers and interactive nameplates. Public maps bring human players and simulated rival tamers into the same world, while your story journeys and DigiFarm remain private to your account.

The DigiDex helps you plan your collection. Search and filter the catalogue, inspect forms and stats, check evolution routes, and look up the public habitats associated with a Digimon. A form that does not appear in a wild encounter pool may have an evolution or de-evolution route instead.

Scan, collect and materialize#

Collection revolves around scan data. Defeat wild Digimon, build research progress and use the DigiDex to materialize a new partner.

There are four varieties to collect: Normal, Paradox, Shiny and Firewall. Each species-and-variety combination has its own scan record, so researching a Normal form does not automatically complete its rare counterparts.

At the default settings, 100% scan unlocks materialization. Keep researching to 200% and the new partner receives +5 permanent ABI. Every complete 20 percentage points above 100% adds one bonus ABI, up to that maximum.

Materialization creates a new level 1 partner; it does not transform or overwrite a Digimon you already own. By default, it consumes the accumulated scan for that exact form, including the extra scan used to earn bonus ABI. The confirmation screen previews the result before you commit.

Your discovery and ownership history remain in the DigiDex even after a partner evolves or moves out of your collection. The archive is a record of your journey, not just a list of what you currently carry.

Build a team and learn the battle system#

The default party holds six Digimon, with three active battle slots and reserves available for switching. Arrange the party to choose your opening formation and field leader.

Combat uses Speed-based action timing. Faster partners act more often, rather than every Digimon simply receiving one action per round. Physical and special attacks use different stats, while Digimon type and attack element affect matchups. Target previews and the battle guide help explain your options.

Use a free Attack, spend SP on techniques, Guard, switch to a reserve or use a recovery item when the battle rules allow it. Switching and items use the acting partner's action, making timing part of your strategy. In wild encounters, you can flee without battle rewards; your remaining HP and SP carry out of the encounter.

Wild, story, AI-tamer and private Season victories can award partner experience. Ranked and friendly battles do not award partner experience, so they serve a different purpose from training in the field.

Digivolution, friendship and permanent growth#

Digivolution is more than reaching a level requirement. Depending on the route, a partner may also need particular stats, CAM or ABI. The Evolution screen shows available routes and what is still missing.

CAM is friendship. It grows through time in your active party and CAM DigiMeat. ABI is permanent development progress. Evolution, de-evolution, ABI DigiMeat and higher-scan materialization provide ways to build it.

Evolving or de-evolving returns a partner to level 1 with reset experience, but preserves its identity, variety, nickname, CAM and permanent training. The new form receives its appropriate techniques. De-evolution therefore gives you a way to rebuild and develop the same partner, rather than abandoning it for a replacement.

At the default settings, permanent stat training has a +100 limit per stat and a 300-point shared budget. How you distribute those points is part of building the team you want.

DigiLab and your private DigiFarm#

The DigiLab is your recovery and research stop. Outside battles, restore full HP and SP to every owned partner for free, including defeated Digimon and partners outside your active party. Closing the DigiLab returns you to the same field position.

Your DigiFarm is a private, walkable island where you can place collected partners, meet them in the field and select their nameplates to care for them. The default farm capacity is 100 residents.

Feed residents CAM DigiMeat, ABI DigiMeat or the matching stat-training food to develop them. Placing a Digimon on the island does not remove it from your battle party, and removing a resident does not delete the partner. Your farm is somewhere to spend time with your collection, not a one-way storage box.

Three private story campaigns#

Your story adventures use your existing party and keep separate campaign progress. Follow named characters, read changing dialogue, complete objectives and work through the encounters required to open the next area. Journals help point you towards the next assignment, report or challenge.

Dawn Relay Chronicle#

A false evacuation signal has disrupted the relay network. Begin at Lumen Concourse, restore the relays and follow a journey across 18 campaign locations.

Complete trials, challenge the wardens and earn eight DigiBadges on your way to the championship. Winning the crown is not the end: a rotating challenger lineup lets you defend the title or reclaim it after a loss.

Permanent completion reward: +20% scan gain from qualifying Firewall wild-battle victories. The mastery remains yours even if you later lose the championship.

World DS: Paradox Chronicle#

Begin in the peaceful Forest Glade hub and investigate a world of impossible traces and conflicting histories. This campaign has 18 locations: one safe hub and 17 field areas, with its opening field content aimed around level 10.

Complete the field assignments, defeat the Paradox guardians and collect 17 different Paradox Crests. With the full set and the required victories recorded, summon the Origin Triad: a final battle against three level 100 Paradox Mega Digimon.

Permanent completion reward: +20% scan gain from qualifying Paradox wild-battle victories. Your crests remain yours; they are not consumed by the finale. Repeating the finale does not stack another mastery bonus.

Super Xros: Ghostline#

A private cyber-investigation begins at Backchannel, your safe case office. Follow witnesses, complete tamer trials and investigate a stolen-permission network across 30 field locations, making 31 campaign locations including the hub.

Progress is built around accepting assignments, completing the required encounters and returning with your findings. Gather 30 Access Proofs and follow the case towards a final confrontation with three level 99 Digimon.

Permanent completion reward: +20% scan gain from qualifying Shiny wild-battle victories.

These rewards increase the amount of matching scan data earned; they do not increase the chance of encountering that variety. At the default rare-scan gain, mastery changes 5 scan points into 6, not 5 into 25.

A solo league with its own history#

Season Career is a private league, separate from the shared Ranked ladder. Your real party competes at its current levels and stats in a 16-tamer competition, with an eight-match card across the full league each booking week.

Play your scheduled match, follow the standings and develop rivalries through repeated meetings. Championship bouts, title reigns, successful defenses, win/loss records and past match cards give the league a continuing history.

Victories award partner experience and credits. Your private calendar advances when you play and progress the career—not while you are away—so you can return to your next booking without missing weeks of your own league.

Compete your way: Ranked or live friendly battles#

Ranked Arena#

Save a defense lineup, then enter automatic attacking matches against saved player defenses or active AI-rival teams. Ranked uses your actual party composition and stats, including reserves. Update your saved defense when you change the team you want opponents to face.

Climb through Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond and Master. Reaching the next points threshold sets up a promotion opportunity; winning the required attacking match earns the promotion. Follow the Top 100 and your own seasonal record as you climb.

The defaults use seven-day seasons, an energy cap of 30, and one energy restored every five minutes, including time away. Eligible players receive DigiRubies when a season closes, based on the configured grade and placement rewards. At least one attacking match is required by default—passive defense alone does not qualify.

Live unranked challenges#

Challenge another player or an AI rival on the same public map. Human-versus-human matches are live and manually commanded by both players; they are not ranked defense replays.

These matches use the teams' real levels, with battle HP and SP restored for the challenge. They do not spend ranked energy, alter ranked rating or allow consumables. Your normal expedition vitals remain separate from the match, while unranked wins, losses and draws are tracked.

Each manual decision has a 90-second deadline plus queued animation time. Surrendering counts as a loss. Private story maps and the DigiFarm do not accept public unranked challenges.

Rival tamers that develop their own teams#

The AI rivals are not just stationary quest NPCs. They have persistent identities, parties, collections and progression.

While the server is running, rivals can travel between suitable habitats, fight wild encounters, gather scan data, materialize partners, gain levels, evolve, de-evolve, train, recover and take part in competitive battles. They also rotate their training teams as their collections develop.

The Rivals screen lets you inspect their activity. Its 12-hour activity counters reset together, but the rivals' partners, levels and collections are retained. The host controls the population and simulation settings.

Friends, clans, chat and trading#

Meet other tamers through world chat, player nameplates and the Community screens. Send friend requests, check contacts and use the ignore list to hide unwanted chat and block new social invitations.

Clans provide a shared identity, live member roster, invitations, leadership roles, a message of the day and private clan chat. Leaders can appoint officers and transfer leadership.

The player marketplace supports Digimon listings priced in Credits, DigiRubies or both. Review the exact partner and the full price before buying. Listed Digimon are held out of your usable collection until the listing sells or is cancelled.

For a negotiated exchange, use direct trading to offer Digimon and either currency. Both players must confirm the same version of the deal. Changing an offer clears both confirmations, so neither side can silently substitute a different exchange after approval.

Before listing or offering a partner, remove it from any restricted assignment such as your party, farm or ranked defense, and keep a healthy adventuring partner available.

Supplies and currency#

Earn Credits through progression battles and use them for supplies. DigiRubies come from eligible ranked-season rewards and provide another way to pay in the regular shop.

Shop supplies include HP and SP recovery items, CAM and ABI DigiMeat, and stat-training foods. Purchases show the quantity and full currency cost before you buy.

A one-way DigiRuby exchange converts DigiRubies into Credits. The default rate is 1 DigiRuby = 100 Credits; it is not a two-way currency swap.

Player comforts#

Searchable collection screens, scan previews, evolution requirements, target information, readable battle results and story objectives help keep the important information close at hand. You can also hide the field HUD for an unobstructed view.

Device settings include window mode, resolution, frame-rate limits, VSync and graphics-quality options. Separate Master, Music, Effects and UI volume controls let you balance the audio. Appearance changes are free, and routine DigiLab recovery does not cost currency.

Your first session#

1. Make your tamer. Create an account or log in, choose Join Public World, then pick your appearance and first Rookie from Overview.

2. Get comfortable in the field. Choose a suitable habitat in Level Select, close the menu and walk around. Use the camera zoom to find a comfortable view. Your leader follows you, and wild encounters begin through exploration.

3. Build your collection. Win encounters, check the DigiDex and decide whether to materialize at 100% scan or research further for bonus ABI. Recover for free in the DigiLab between battles.

4. Choose your next goal. Begin a story, enter your private Season Career, develop your DigiFarm or prepare a team for Ranked. World DS starts around level 10, so train before tackling its opening fields.

Accounts, hosting and saving#

Your gameplay profile belongs to your account on the world hosting it. This is not a promise of automatic account or collection transfers between unrelated servers. Private campaigns and the solo league run as account-specific activities within that hosted game.

Important saving note: the reviewed source defaults to administrator-controlled disk saves, with global autosaving switched off. Ordinary player logout retains progress in the running server's memory; it does not force a disk save. The host must use /saveall, log out through the supported administrator flow, or enable global autosaving. A crash or forced shutdown can lose progress that has not been written to disk.

World owners can configure progression rates, encounter chances, party and level limits, shop prices, ranked rules, rival populations and save behaviour. Numbers labelled as defaults in this guide can therefore differ on a particular server.
